When a visitor cannot tell whether they are talking to software, every answer becomes harder to trust once they find out — including the accurate ones. Disclosure is not a compliance checkbox so much as the thing that makes the rest of the conversation usable.
That shapes what we build. An assistant can qualify an enquiry, answer questions it has real source material for, and produce a quote from a rate card. What it should not do is make a consequential decision on its own, or imply a human reviewed something that no human has seen.
Practically, that means routing anything consequential to a person, documenting which model and vendor sit behind the system, and writing the limitations into the handover rather than leaving them to be discovered later.
The version of this that works is unglamorous: it speeds up the pipeline, it does not pretend to replace judgement, and it says what it is.
